Express Entry French Category

Under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), you can get 25 or 50 additional points for French language skills. Enter your French test scores (TEF Canada or TCF Canada) and, if applicable, your English test scores. We’ll tell you whether you qualify for 25 points (NCLC 7+ in French, with no English test or CLB 4 or lower) or 50 points (NCLC 7+ in French and CLB 5+ in English on all four skills).

French test (TEF Canada or TCF Canada)

You need NCLC 7 or higher on all four skills to qualify for the French language bonus.

English test (optional for 25 points)

25 points if you have NCLC 7+ in French and CLB 4 or lower in English (or no English test). 50 points if you also have CLB 5 or higher on all four English skills.
